Out of the blues

Dear Marriage and Family teacher:

Please stop spreading your mass ignorance. This world has enough racism, sexism, and ageism without you adding to it by leading the 8 women just like you in the class down the same path of destruction. Good for you for keep a job for 8 years, now hows about learning how to do it correctly? I don't care about how much you hate living in Mulvane, if you're going to share stories, maybe you could shares ones that are A) Shorter than 15 minuets and B) RELEVANT to the subject we're supposed to be studying.

Sincerely,

Girl you roll yours eyes at in the 6th row

Dear Iggy,

Please stop falling apart, you know your parts are becoming obsolete and hard to replace. You also know your driver in a broke ass college student who gets crap everytime she asks her parents for monies to repair you. I gave you new paint and oil, the windshield wipers falling off in the pouring rain is so ungratful you little punk. Fall to pieces and you will have to be replaced- sentimental value or not.

I am so serious this time mister.

Lauren

Dear Vh1 Mega Hits!:

Just a note to let you know that there are more than four videos in the world and also that "Redneck Woman" is a COUNTRY song, thus does not need to be over played on this station as you do also have Vh1 Country.

Sincerely,

Dear Friend "M",

"Don't bring me down, no no no no noooo, woo-hoo". I'm trying to get somewhere in life and I'd prefer not having you hanging on my heals all the way there. Middle school was a long time ago, it's time to be grown ups and realize that, while we can still be friends, we're not its ok for you too mooch off of me and my family because we work hard and you don't because you think society owes you, friends. Grow up, please.

Your tell you like it is friend,

Lauren

Dear Mom,

Believe it or not I really am still getting better. Apparently perging all the "bad stuff" takes most of my energy and leaves me ill equiped for what I still have to deal with everyday, I'm working on that.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I really am trying to work all this out.

Your chakra confused daughter,

Boogie

Dear self,

We can do this. Fight back. Love you, take it one thing at a time. We can so touch the sunrise.

Sincerely,

Me.

Out of the Blues

Out of the blues and into the light
Out of the fears and into the flight
That's the way the hero goes

Out of the dark and into the day
Out of the subway and into the rain
That's the way the glory goes
Yeah that's the way the story goes

And it's time
Who's the winner in the end
Who's the subject of the show
Who's the one who holds the rope

It's up to you
To let go and not pretend
To surrender for the win
To begin at the beginning

Into the pale and out of the night
Into the substance and into the light (all mine)
That's the way the money goes

Out of the night and into the day
The tears and fear, the tears in may
That's the way the feeling grows

And it's time
What's the conflict of the crime
Where's the center of the scene
Who hangs out and not gives in

It's up to you
To let go and not pretend
To surrender not defend
To begin at the beginning
It's up to you
It's up to you
What you want

It's up to you to get out of the blues
